Ideal Teachers Gift!

Are you looking for a great teachers gift for your children this year? Usually I just do the box of chocolates thing with a nice card, but seriously, how many boxes of chocolates can one teacher eat? lol

This year, I've bought each of my kid's teacher's the stamp set below AND an inkpad in their favourite colour. I've tied them together with a beautiful big ribbon bow and they look rather spesh indeed! It's a great gift that any teacher would love, and the best bit is, it will last more than 10 minutes and they won't curse you for making them put on weight! lol

Would you like to give this gift to the teachers of your children as well?

Until 12pm tomorrow (17th of November) when you order this bundle (Teacher's Pet Stamp set and an inkpad of your colour choice) I'll have the order shipped to your door absolutely FREE!

The total cost of the bundle is $45.90, and you can pay either by credit card or by depositing the funds into my Commonwealth Bank Account! If you'd love to put another 'tick' against your christmas shopping list, email me today to place your order!

**This offer does not qualify for any further discounts, and is a special offer available from me as an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator***

I Think I'm 'Done' With Boxes!

Hi everone!

Well I'm happy to report that I am finally done and finished making my Christmas Boxes and Bags! I think I've made close to 20 now in all different shapes and sizes and gosh it feels good to have it done!

Target had big boxes of Cadbury chocolates on sale today so I went up bright and early to grab a trolley load (ok slight exageration but I did get a few!) and then I came home, filled the boxes, made gift tags for most of them, and popped them under my new little 'papercraft' christmas tree!

We usually don't put our tree up until December 1st, but I'd made all these ornaments up last weekend and needed a small tree to put them on! So I whipped up town and got one, came home and decorated it, and then realised that I really had nowhere to store it until December 1st! How stupid is that? lol

So anyways, let me show you my little tree with all the beautiful ornaments and boxes stacked neatly underneath!

I've had so much fun making all these boxes and bags, and now I promise I'll try and start making some cards! lol

I Love Unusual Boxes!

If you've been visiting my blog in the hope of seeing some cards lately........my apologies, but I'm having a love affair with boxes right now! lol Any spare moment I have, I've been trying to whip up some cute little thing in which to put some gifts for Christmas!

While I was surfing the net recently, I found a gorgeous tutorial over at Donna's website which is available for purchase! I'm a sucker for unusual things, so I bought the tutorial straight away and only got to sit and make one when I got home this morning! I did however put my spin on the box and folded the top differently.

Here's the front of the box!

And here's a top view for you so you can see how I've done the box lid! It's secured by a build a brad which I've then tied the tag to. To undo the box, you simply take out the brad and unfold - super simple!

Hope you like it. Many thanks must go to Donna for making that tutorial available to us!!

More Pretty Boxes!

Hey all! I'm still on my mission to create some chrissie gift boxes and I thought you might like to see the lastest ones I've finished!

The one below is super cute and you can find a tutorial on how to make it here! I have to make a few extra of this particular little box, but just finding the time is a bit of a challenge right now!

This box is just so pretty IRL, and a great size too! I actually took apart a Lipton Tea Bag box and made a template from it in order to create it. I wanted the tag to be a little different, so I made it in the shape of a Bauble and added a bit of bling to dress it up! Just another little box that will be filled with choccies this Christmas for someone!

Hope your having a great day! I'm enjoying this beautiful rain that's been bucketing down......it's been a long time coming and will make my lawn beautiful and green again that's for sure!

Another Cake Box!

I'm still mucking around here trying to get some nice Christmas gift boxes done up, and this is the one I've just finished now! Seriously, these boxes are soooooo quick to make and look fabo when their done! You can get the directions for them just by joining Ustamp!

For this one, I thought I'd cut out a circle shape using my Circle Scissors Plus rather than a square, as I wanted it to be a little different than the one I made in the previous post. I think for my next box, I'll try and cut out a star at the top for yet another spin on the original idea!

Once again, I used the Sweet Slumber Specialty Papers for the box because they are just that bit thicker. I think they have a lovely festive look too!

Hope you like it!

Christmas Cake Box!

Yesterday saw me complete 20 cards for a swap I'm in with Ngaire Anderson's Stamparoo girls (have a huge blister on my thumb from peeling tape! lol) and today after making the birthday card in my previous post, I got back into making some more christmas packaging and produced this Christmas Cake Box ! Isn't it pretty??

I was lucky enough to win a free pass to this round of Ustamp, and this particular project was one of many tutorials which are put together for us ! I was dying to give one a whirl and I'm really happy with how it turned out! I think all up it probably took me about 1/2 an hour to make which I thought was pretty quick really!

I'm not sure I'll actually put a cake in it...............my cooking skills are not that crash hot really, but I thought I might crimp up some paper for the bottom and put some chocolates in there and I reckon that would make for an impressive christmas gift!

Hope you're having a great Sunday arvy.............I think its time for my nanna nap now! lol

From 'Owl' Of Us!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I thought I'd show you this card I just finished this morning! I had actually typed 'quick card' but then went back and deleted it, cause you and I know that this owl was not all that quick to do! lol It was fun though!

Now, the owl I cased from a gorgeous swap card I got at convention, however, on the back of the card there are no details at all as to who made it! If you got one of these gorgeous swaps, and your card does have details on the back, can you please let me know who I need to give credit to. She sure had put in soooo much time and effort with her swaps and definitely deserves acknowledgement!

This card is actually for my friends daughter who's birthday it is tomorrow! In typical fashion for me of late though, the card won't make it on time, but I'm sure she'll love it when it does arrive!

Hope you like it!

ETA: Many thanks to my gorgeous friend Sarah Klass who let me know who the creator of the little owl is! It was the lovely Tanya Blewitt and you can see Tanya's blog here! Thanks so much for the inspiration Tanya!
