Searching For A 'Daisy Field' Wheel!

Morning everyone,

I have a wonderful friend who is searching for the 'Daisy Field' wheel which co-ordinates with the Unfrogettable stamp set. It retired last year, but if you have one in your stash that you'd like to send off to a great new home, please email me ASAP! I'd love to be able to help her out with this!

Thanks heaps!

Punch Art Fun!

Hey everyone!

Thought I'd pop on with a card my Stamp Club girls will be making in October! I say October cause our scheduled September meet up won't take place due to some not being able to make it and others being away with school holidays! But never fear - October will be full of fun!

The girls have seen the projects their going to make (well 2 of them anyway) and this little fella is one of them! The frog is a partial CASE from a lovely lady by the name of Lisa! I saved Lisa's pic to my computer while I was surfing the net, and her watermark is so tiny I can't make out her website! Thank you Lisa for your inspiration though - I loved your little froggie!!

When making my card I changed quite a bit to make it my own. I really don't like CASING something exactly right down to the last detail, I'd rather put my own spin on things!

We're focusing on punch art come October, and this card certainly uses quite a few, but gosh he's fun to make!! Because his little legs are 'bradded' together, they are actually posable (sp?) so you can make him sit however you want - cool hey! lol

I still have one last project to design for the girls, and I think I know what I'll do, but I'm just waiting for my order to turn up with some beautiful new ribbon so I can hook into it!

Hope you like my little frog - doesn't he just make you wanna smile?!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge One Last Time!

Hey everyone - how quick has this week gone? I can't believe it's Saturday already and time for another Inkspiration Challenge by Keesh!

This week we had a beautiful colour combo to play with, and one I have actually used before.

Here they are!

And here are the projects I made! I thought I'd go for a nice little box and card this time round!

And below are some close up's of each project! Firstly, we have the little love note sized card!

And the little gift box which is the perfect size for some choccies!

Now the box is actually a Kentucky Fried Popcorn chicken Box. When my kids were eating their dinner the other night, all I kept thinking was "hurry up and eat so can steal that box and make a template from it!" lol
After I had done the template, I just had my husband photocopy it onto cardstock for me, so then it was just a matter of cutting, stamping, scoring on all the lines, adding one strip of double sided tape and it was done! Such an easy little project and super cute when it's finished! Gotta love quick, cute projects hey! lol

Ok, onto more serious stuff! As you may have noticed in my blog title, this is my very last week being apart of Keesh's Design Team. I'm really sad to be giving up my position on the team after such a short time, but for months I haven't been enjoying my stamping like I use to, and I don't feel I'm giving my DT commitments my all!
I have other things in my life right now which I'm choosing to focus on and they will ultimately be a huge benefit to me and my family. I want to eventually get back to really enjoing my stamping like I did when I started 11 years ago, but at the moment, I'm just going to create when I feel like it and enjoy other things.

It's here that I'd love to say a huge big thanks to Keesh for firstly choosing me to be apart of her Design Team and believing in my talent and also for being such a dear friend of mine!
I also want to thank my beautiful DT girl friends, Kirsty, Renee, Cindy and Amy for all their encouragement and friendship! Poor Kirsty had to endure many weeks of me emailing her and saying - is it this colour challenge this week or this sketch! We had many a laugh over me being so dopey and unorganised! lol

Lastly, I want to thank all my blog readers who stop by each Friday night and leave me lovely comments many of which make me laugh! (looking at you Sarah Jane Kale!). I will continue to update my blog, but only when I have the time and inclination to do so! I hope you understand!

Now that I have all that out in the open, be sure to go and check out the lovely creations that the DT will have whipped up this week. Leave them some comment love as Keesh would say, cause they really do deserve it!

Swaps!

Look what just arrived in my mail box just now........isn't this a gorgeous array of cards??

Recently, my good friend Ngaire Anderson asked me if I would be a 'guest swapper' in the Christmas in July Swap she'd organised with her team called the Stamparoo's! Of course I said yes, and got busy stamping up 35 card fronts. I had a ball, and got them all done virtually in one night...........had my kids punching out things and everything, so it was very much a Thomas family affair! lol
Unfortunately, in all my excitement, I forgot to photograph my own swap card - can't believe I did that! Actually, yes I can! lol

If that beautiful bunch of cards wasn't enough though, Ngaire also sent me some gorgeous plum pudding muffins that she'd baked and boy were they yummy!! The lovely Cherita Anderson who you can see dressed as Mrs Clause in this post, actually baked and packaged up these said muffins for all the girls, and handed them out at their Christmas in July team dinner! What a gem!! I can't wait to bake up heaps of them at Christmas myself!!!

So anyways, I just wanted to share with you a pic of these beautiful cards and say a HUGE thanks to Ngaire and the Stamperoo's for asking me to be apart of their swap! :) Must get back to 'oohing and ahhing' over them now! lol
