Christmas Projects!

Hi all! Just a super quick post from me today - I've just realised that 've spent all morning making these cute little fella's and I still have my ironing and stuff to do before I get the kids from school! Good lord the time fly's when your havin' fun!

Anyhow, I like to give the kids in our family something cute on Christmas day, so this year I'm making a pile of these cute little elves to fill with lollies! Lots of people have made them, but my inspiration came from these ones here that Renee' made!

For mine though, I made a box which I've stuck to the back of the little elves and I'm just about to attach a little 'stand' to the back of the box (like on the back of a photo frame) so they will actually sit up all nice and cute on the christmas table when they're full!

I've made 5 so far and have quite a few to go yet.

Here's a close up for you too!

Hope you like them! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Cyberstamp Challenge # 4

Here I am...........bet you thought I'd fallen asleep on my keyboard or something hey? lol Okay, challenge # 4 was a sketch challenge. The sketch we had to follow is below.

And here's my card!

Don't the leaves of the Petal Pizazz stamp set make awesome candle flames?! lol

Well.....I'm not sure if there are more challenges for tonight or not, but that's it for me for anyway! I'm absolutely stuffed as we've had a big day and my pillow is calling my name!

Thanks for a great cyberstamp Jayne - I had a ball and will check to see if there are more challenges that I missed in the morning when I rise!

Night Night all!!

Cyberstamp Challenge # 3

Well here I am - back with challenge # 3! Now this time we had to make one of these cute little watering cans which were featured on Splitcoaststampers this week! Unfortunately, my laser printer doesn't take too kindly to me feeding it cardstock, so I had to detour a bit from the challenge cause I couldn't print out the darn template! lol Hope that's ok Jayne - I made sure my creation was still pink and had a flower on it so I kinda was on track with the challenge and looked slightly gardeny (is that even a word?)

Anyhow, I decided to whip up a gorgeous little 'sevens box' which the lovely Marelle Taylor did a tutorial on a while back! They are a great size little box AND really quick to make too!

Hope you like it - gotta clean up my desk again and have a drink break! Phew!

Cyberstamp Challenge # 2

Allllllrighty then! Here I am back again with challenge # 2 issued by Jayne! We had to make a card, scrapbook page or an OTP item but the only colours were could use were pink, black and white! I chose to use Pink Passion for my pink!

Ok, off to clean up my desk ready for challenge # 3! I reckon I might have lost 2kg by the morning, cause I sure am sweating trying to get these challenges done! lol

Cyber Stamp Challenge #1

Good evening all! Come and join us for some fun over at Jayne Mercer's Blog where she is running a cyber stamp in order to raise money for Breast Cancer Research! She's got a new challenge for us every hour, so I'm gonna try and stay up late (instead of going to bed like a nanna) and join in with her fun! Don't forget to donate some $ for her too........I'm off to do that shortly!

Her first challenge tonight was to flip through our catalogue, find a card we like, and then turn it pink! I took a bit of a fancy to a card on page 75, turned it pink, changed the sentiment and I was done!! Challenge # 1 complete!!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #14

Crikey - I'm on fire ...........2 posts in 1 day! It must be because I'm at a loss without my girl being home I think! lol

Righto, well it's been a long time since I've done one of Keeshie's challenges, and so today I thought I'd give it a whirl! The colours are just too gorgeous for me not to try and whip something up!

Here's my card!

I've used my Top Note die and also the gorgeous Daisy die as well. The centre of the flower is the little Stampin' Up! sizzlet die that's in the shape of a button! They're so cute!

Just a simple card, but one I know will be right up the recipients alley! Thanks Keesh for a fun colour challenge - it was lovely to play along!:)

Special Thank You Gifts!

Hi Ho Everyone! Hope your enjoying your Saturday!

Today saw us up bright and early to put my beautiful daughter Maddi on a plane bound for the State Finals of Optiminds in Brisbane! She was heading off with 6 of her team members to enjoy a very intense weekend of competition, and then they fly home Monday night after a great day of shopping, and doing a few of the touristy things! Poor little girl was very nervous because she's never been so far away from us! I have to admit to feeling very anxious letting her go, but luckily she'll be looked after by some of the parents that were going along as well, so I'm pretty certain she'll be in great hands!

So firstly here's a photo of Maddi before she boarded the plane this morning!

As I said, she'll be looked after by some very special people while she's away, so I wanted to make them a little something to say 'thank you'! I've recently gotten the Stampin' Up! Basket And Blooms Big Shot Die (not available in Australia), and used it for the first time to make these little pressies!

Here's the first basket with a matching little notecard!

And here's the second one with matching notecard!

I was so pleased with how these turned out and I can't wait to use that gorgeous little die again!

Just Playin' Round With Tilda!

Happy Sunday mornin' everyone!

Thought I'd pop on here quickly to show you the card I made yesterday morning! I debated whether to upload it or not because yesterday I didn't like it all that much! I also found that because I'd used Blush Blossom as the card base (again!), it was really hard to get the colours right in the photo.......even with the help of photoshop!

I got my very first Magnolia stamp in the mail on Friday, and I think she's just the cutest little thing! I tinkered around for a while colouring her in with my prismacolors, but then really struggled to put her on a card! I didn't know what the heck I was going to 'sit' her on, so I opted to do the faux wood technique and make her a little fence! lol

Her little socks and ribbons are almost the same colour as Green Galore card stock, however the photo doesn't really show it that way at all which is rather frustrating! Oh well, you'll get the idea I'm sure!

I was pretty happy with my first 'Tilda' card, I'm sure I can only improve from here! lol

A Sympathy Card!

On Wednesday, my husband and I had to attend the funeral of a very special man, and today I sat and made a card for his family! I wanted my card to have a very peaceful look and when I found this card in the Splitcoaststampers gallery by Leisa Jane using the Stampin' Up! 'Branch Out' stamp set - I knew I'd hit the jackpot!

My card is a more simple version of Leisa's with a few things changed around. This particular stamp set is not yet available in Australia - but I'm hoping it will be one day as I know so many others will love it just like I do!

I've used Blush Blossom, Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Whisper White and Close To Cocoa as my colour scheme which is very hard to photograph, but looks so pretty! I hope I can think of some lovely comforting words to put inside now..............that's one thing I'm not very good at I have to say!

Hope you like it - have a great day!

A Quick And Economical Christmas Gift!

Morning everyone!

Christmas will be on our doorstep quicker than we know it this year, so I've been trying to get a little start on some Christmas gifts. I thought you might like to see the one I did yesterday!

This is my little malteser gift bag and they're so simple to make. What I've done is stamped up one of our small cello bags using white Stazon Ink, filled it with Maltesers, then used a Kraft Top Note Die Cut as the topper for it. I then tied some of the gorgeous striped ribbon right around the whole package and tied it off at the top with some linen thread!

As a feature, I used my 5 flower punch to make a 3d kinda pointsetta!

Here's a nice close up so you can check out the flower! The idea is not mine unfortunately. I was inspired by a beautiful card I saw on Kris McIntosh's blog when I was surfing a while back! Thanks Kris!

I'll be whipping up a few of these I think, cause their quick, easy and they look so very pretty!

Hope you like it. Have a great day!

House Mouse Fun!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I've been sitting and just colouring in which has been lovely and relaxing I have to say!

You might remember back in March I said I had gotten a full set of Prismacolor Pencils for my birthday and whilst I have used them a few times, more recently I've been watching a few Youtube video's trying to get a much better knowledge of how to perfect the art!

Now, I have to say this card is far from perfection, but it's definitely a drastic improvement to my last attempt let me tell you! lol I even went outside my comfort zone and used colours I rarely touch in my filing cabinet, so that was great too!

This card is also my entry into this weeks House Mouse challenge where we had to use buttons somewhere on our creation!

Closer view of my colouring!

Hope you like it! Enjoy the rest of your day!
