Just a really quick post from me today to show you a card I just finished making! I chose to challenge myself to use the dreaded 'Yoyo Yellow' in a card today, and I have to admit to being quite happy with it! lol
I teamed the yellow up with very earthy tones and I think it worked really well! It would have to be the hardest colour to work with though I think.....it's just so 'in your face'!

Karen, this is a lovely combination of elements! That beautiful button seems like the perfect choice to ground the yellow — I really have to find some wood buttons to use on projects. I'm looking forward to when the Half & Half dies come back in stock so that I can get a set! Thanks so much for the inspiration.

BEAUTIFUL Yellow Flower, Karen! I love the wooden button at the center and the swirl is a great touch. Great card!
P.S: Do you reckon PTI's Bloom Builder #3 flower is similar to this flower but only smaller? Is so, BB3 is a great addition to this die, right? Combining the two diecuts, you will get a more denser flower and more layer :) I envy you :)
I really like that yellow paired with the wood button.
I struggle a bit with yellow, too. I used to never use it, but it's growing on me.

Thank you so much - glad you like my card! The die is a Sizzix daisy die - daisy #2 I believe is its correct name. Stampin' Up use to sell it in the US, but I got mine from an online store here in Australia called Scrapbook Boutique!
