Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Entry!

Hi Folks!

Here's a card I finished a few minutes ago that I made for Papertrey Inks Make it Monday #18 which is called Adding Texture Using Tissue Paper!  Not sure why, but I had no wrinkly bits on mine like the video sample but it looks pretty spiffy just the same and its great way to tone down some DSP that you really have no clue what to do with!

Here's my card!

I've  stuck the tissue paper over a piece of DSP from SU's Woodland Walk pack and then I sewed around the edge which was fun!   I even inked up a few Papertrey Ink stamp sets that I got a month or so back so at least I can say I've used them now! lol

This particular card is being sent to a really good friend of mine who's just come through a rough couple of years and who is now free to enjoy her life the way she wants to!

Anyhow, I hope you're having a great day!  I think I'm gonna go and make a cuppa after I link this card up to Papertrey!

Well Hello There.........

Hi Friends!

I thought I'd pop in with a card I finished just now.  I wanted to try this new ribbon I bought yesterday which you cut to length and then pull the stitching which is only along one edge and it folds itself into a little ruffle flower!   Let me show you the card so you can get the drift!

Isn't it cool?  It's probably been availble for 100 years, but it was a fun discovery for me yesterday and it's only $1.20 a metre! BARGAIN!  It comes in 3 colours - White, Pink and Blue and I got a few metres of each.

I've used Elegant Eggplant, Kraft,  Melon Mambo, Kiwi Kiss and Lavender Lace on this card as well as stamps by Papertrey Ink!   I don't think I have EVER used Lavender Lace before but it looks quite ok here I think!

Anyhooooooo just a simple little card today which I hope you'll like!   With any luck I'll be back later in the week!  Thanks for stopping by today!
